Flu Season Tea

COLD + FLU SEASON TEA

I make this Cold + Flu Season Tea whenever the weather changes, and whenever I feel a head cold / itchy throat coming on.

Ingredients:
  • Orange Peel from 2 Oranges
  • Peppermint, or generic mint leaves, 2 Tablespoons
  • Liquorice Root, 2-3 pieces
  • Ginger, 1 Inch Chunk, sliced
  • Lime Juice, from 1 Lime
  • Cinnamon Sticks, 2
  • Cloves, 2 teaspoon
  • Peppercorn, 6-8 pieces
  • Water, 2 Cups or more
Steps:
  1. Boil at least 2 cups of water on medium high heat. Put more if you want to make a bigger batch, you would only need to cook for longer.
  2. Put all the ingredients into the water, squeeze in the lime juice, and turn the heat down to a simmer.
  3. Let the tea cook for at least 10-15 minutes. Cook for longer if you’d like it to be a bit stronger, but no more than 30 minutes on low heat.
  4. Siff the tea into your desired container. Pour some into a cup or a mug. Add sweetener if you like, but not necessary as the tea is very nice on its own.

Enjoy and stay healthy!
